Fundrasing

Jared and I are now in the beginning stages of the adoption. We have sent out support letters, and are planning two garage sales and an ice cream social in September to raise funds. We have only a few short months to do fundraising before we officially apply to our adoption agency. CWA (the agency) requires that parents be 25 years old before they apply for an Ethiopian adoption. Since I (Whitney) turn 25 first we will try to have all paperwork ready to go in February. We might be able to do some preliminary paperwork two months prior to my birthday, but with all the holiday craziness in December we will probably buckle down starting in January. We are also hoping to have our benefit concert towards the end of January to get some last minute fundraising done before all the fees are due upon application. Dear family and friends,

As most of you already know Jared and I have decided, through God's leading, to adopt a child from Ethiopia. We are very excited about this calling and are happy that you can experience it with us throught this blog. We will do our best to keep info posted along the way not only so you can be up to date, but also as a reminder that we will need lots of prayers and support along the way.
