Hmmm..... did you just post on the listserv the other day? I was going to respond to you with some restaurant choices... but forgot!! There's about 5 or so ET restaurants on Cherry St. in S. Seattle. We've been to Meskel (http://seattle.citysearch.com/profile/10798194/seattle_wa/meskel_ethiopian_restaurant.html) .
